Settle Soup
Soup Can Change The World

4 Pounds 4 Ideas 4 Minutes
Settle Soup and the other soup events are a powerful tool to start conversations, grassroots ideas and fund new projects in our communities. They are a mix of dragon’s den, micro fundraiser, social event and lots of soup.
Most UK soups started as a result of reading about Detroit Soup from the BBC magazine article Can Soup Change The World ? or hearing the BBC World Service documentary.

Wanna Pitch
Do you have a project you want funding for?
We’re looking for proposals for projects to pitch at our Settle Soup events.
Pitchers have four minutes to talk about their ideas – no props, no powerpoint, just a short explanation and why you want to win, then time for a few questions from the crowd.
How Settle Soups Work
4 pounds – 4 ideas – 4 minutes
The concept is simple: a suggested donation of £4 on the door (£2 for under 18s) gives you a delicious meal of soup, bread, tea and a vote for your favourite local community project pitched on the night. We want lots of local folk to get involved so if £4 is a bit steep just donate what you can afford, if you are feeling generous you can donate more!
