These stop motion animation films were created by members of North Yorkshire Horizons, North Yorkshire's Recovery Service for those whose lives have been affected by drugs or alcohol.
Settle Stories worked with Virpi Kettu, one of the animators behind Wallace and Gromit, Creature Comforts, the list goes on...
The project ran both in Settle and Skipton and was made possible through funding from Santander Foundation and the films made in Settle were supported by Settle Town Council. The project ran as part of Settle Stories Learning Programme which offers public workshops, workshops in schools and works to address community need and give the disenfranchised a voice using the power of story and the arts.

North Yorkshire Horizons hold their weekly recovery group meetings at the hub and several of them are active members of our Settle Timebank. The animation workshops in Settle were held at the hub and it is wonderful to see the films they made.
