NatWest at the hub

As many of you will know, NatWest is closing their Settle Branch this month but they will still have a presence in town for a while. Lee Daley has been appointed as NatWest Community Banker for the Pennine region covering Settle and he will be visiting the hub on Mondays in October.

NatWest has introduced a new role in response to the changing ways customers bank. Community Bankers will work in local communities affected by branch closures. As part of their role, they will provide customers with personal assistance in accessing the right banking options for their needs across a range of channels.

Lee will be holding weekly surgeries at the Settle Community and Business Hub in the month of October as well as tailored events for customers. Dates and times are as followed:

Monday, October 9 - Drop in session - all day

Monday, October 16 - *Digital Safety 10:30am to 12:00pm and Drop in from 1pm to 4pm

Monday, October 23 - *Become a Dementia Friend 10:30am to 12:00pm and Drop in 1pm to 4pm

Monday, October 30 - *Digital Safety 10:30am to 12:00pm and Drop in 1pm to 4pm.

Commenting on his new role, Lee said: “I’m excited to have the opportunity to develop a strong relationship with our customers in the Pennine region, helping to ensure that NatWest remains an important part of its many thriving communities. The impact of technological changes on the way people bank with us has been dramatic but we’re also aware that not everyone is comfortable with these changes.

“My twitter account @communitylee is fully up and running, and I post regular updates on there as to my whereabouts and the theme of the drop in, and would encourage all who want more information to get in touch.”

In addition to Lee’s regular surgeries, the NatWest Mobile Branch will be parked up on the Whitefriars’ car park every Monday from 11.45am to 12.25pm. The branch provides customers with the opportunity to cash cheques, make account deposits and pay bills, and also provides answers to queries on general account and products.
