Jo does the CRO Challenge

On Saturday May 19th Jo was not watching the Royal Wedding.. but doing a big, hilly walk. The CRO Challenge is a big fundraiser for our local Cave Rescue team. Walkers or runners can do a 12 or 26 mile route and either raise funds for them or pay an entry fee and raise money for other good causes which is what Jo did.

Jo walked with Sarah who is our Timebank co-ordinator and she was raising funds for Cave Rescue.

The money raised by Jo will go towards supporting two of the hub's community projects - Settle Timebank which is a skill swap scheme and our fortnightly community lunches. Both help create connections and friendships and provide a lifeline to many local residents who have become isolated for a range of reasons.

The weather was fantastic, and actually a bit too warm for walking over 12 miles. But it was a fantastic route with some wonderful views.

The donation page on localgiving will be open for sponsorship until 31st May

but if you are too late and feel the urge to make a donation can do it through our main localgiving page
